About LawyerLink
LawyerLink is an Australian legal referral service that connects you with experienced, credentialled lawyers across the country. We refer your enquiry to a lawyer in our partner network based on your location and practice area.
Simply submit your legal enquiry through our online form, providing details about your situation and location. We review your enquiry and refer it to a lawyer in our partner network who practises in your area of need.
Yes, LawyerLink is completely free for clients. There are no fees to submit an enquiry. You only pay the lawyer you choose to work with directly for their legal services. LawyerLink receives a marketing fee from partner law firms for this service.
Our network consists of experienced, qualified lawyers and law firms across Australia who practise in various areas of law including family law, criminal law, personal injury, property law, commercial law, estate planning, and dispute resolution. All lawyers in our network are verified and registered with the relevant legal authorities.
We confirm practising certificates, professional indemnity insurance, and good standing with state and territory law societies for all lawyers in our network. We also obtain details of their experience and practice area specialisations.
Finding a Lawyer
Start by submitting an enquiry through our website, describing your legal situation and location. We'll refer your enquiry to a lawyer in our partner network who practises in your area of need. A lawyer will then contact you to discuss your matter.
After you submit, a lawyer in our partner network will be in touch soon. We prioritise urgent matters (e.g. imminent court dates). If you're facing an emergency, please call 000 first.
Yes. While we refer your enquiry to a lawyer from our partner network, there is no obligation to proceed. If the initial referral doesn't suit your needs, contact us and we'll connect you with another lawyer at no cost.
If you're not satisfied with the lawyer you've been connected with, simply contact us and we'll refer you to an alternative at no cost. There is no obligation at any stage of the process.
LawyerLink operates throughout Australia, with lawyers in our network covering all major cities and regional areas across every state and territory. We can connect you with local lawyers or arrange virtual consultations where appropriate.
Legal Process
While not every legal matter requires a lawyer, professional legal advice is recommended for complex situations, significant financial matters, criminal charges, family law disputes, property transactions, and business contracts. When a lawyer from our partner network contacts you, they can advise whether you need ongoing representation.
Lawyers' costs vary by experience, location, and matter complexity. When a lawyer from our partner network contacts you, they will explain their costs arrangement and provide a written costs agreement before any work begins.
Before your consultation, gather relevant documents such as contracts, correspondence, court documents, or legal notices. Prepare a timeline of events, list of key people involved, and specific questions you want answered. The more organized information you provide, the more effective your consultation will be.
