Lawyer NEWS - Blake Dawson Welcomes New CFO
Blake Dawson has appointed Larry Diamond as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Larry joins the firm from AON Corporation where he was General Manager-Finance and Company Secretary for the Australia-Pacific region. He has previously held positions with KPMG, AUM Australia as Chief Financial Officer, Financial Controller at AON Risk Services Australia and Group Accountant at Alexander & Alexander.
Commenting on the appointment, Blake Dawson Managing Partner, John Atkin said: "We're delighted to have Larry on board. He is highly regarded for his technical expertise and he has a wealth of experience gained in Fortune 500 organisations such as AON. Larry's strong analytical skills and broad commercial outlook make him a great asset to the firm's management team. In taking up his new role at Blake Dawson this week, Larry said: "I am pleased to be joining Blake Dawson at such an exciting time. The firm is recognised for its great work and has experienced significant growth over the past year. There is a strong sense of achievement and direction, highlighted by its rebrand and new visual identity launched recently, and I look forward to adding value across the finance function".
Larry obtained his Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and has professional certifications with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries, the Institute of Taxation of Australia and the Certified Finance & Treasury.
