Lawyer NEWS - Foxtel and Austar launch National Indigenous Television
The Minister for Communications, Technology and the Arts, Senator the Hon. Helen Coonan, has welcomed a partnership initiative between Foxtel and Austar which will see National Indigenous Television (NITV) broadcast to six million Australians through pay television.
The current NITV content is broadcast free to air via Channel 31 on Imparja. The partnership will provide two million households with access to the new indigenous programming including arts, language and sports programming. The NITV itself is part of a broader Backing Indigenous Ability programme.
