Your new role
As part of a totally integrated National team, you will take a leading role on a number of major high-end finance matters. The Partners have carved out an important role, which will have its emphasis in:
- Project finance;
- Leveraged finance; and
- Syndicated finance.
You will be acting on some of Australia’s biggest finance deals – involving private developers, financial institutions and corporate borrowers.
Your suitability

Job Description
This is a newly created position within the organisation reports directly to Managing Director of the Australian subsidiary of this Singapore-based private investment company. The position offers outstanding work-life balance and the opportunity to take responsibility for the day to day spectrum of commercial property matters. The position will be assisted by a Property Administration Manager within the company and will work closely with the Managing Director and senior management.
This position does not pay lip-service to 'work-life balance' but genuinely will deliver attractive hours.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provision of legal advice and services to Management including but not limited to document preparation, commercial leasing, options, deeds and variations work.
- Monitoring of external legal services providers with particular emphasis on quality of advice and service and costs
- Development and maintenance of document precedents and other templates
- Ensure the identification and management of exposure to risk and legal liability in associated activities
- Assist management with legal negotiations where necessary
The Successful Applicant
You will be an experienced commercial property lawyer with either a private practice or in-house background who is looking for a role that offers interesting commercial property work and a flexible environment.

In order to succeed in this role you must be able to work autonomously with a commitment to provide excellence in service and have a strong knowledge and active interest in the commercial property law area.
To be considered for this position you will meet the following:
- Currently posses and unrestricted practicing certificate
- 3-5 years post-graduate experience either in-house or in private practice with demonstrable experience and expertise in commercial property
- Appropriate involvement in professional development and courses to maintain and enhance currency and completeness of skills and knowledge
- Skilled communicator in both written and oral forms
- Well developed negotiation skills
- High degree of integrity and trust
